 LAASP as an Organization

The Los Angeles Association of School Psychologists was established in 1967. It was formed in order to unite school psychologists, psychometrists, and counselors. Currently LAASP serves as the professional organization for only the school psychologists of Los Angeles.

LAASP provides workshops for school psychologists and functions as a forum for school psychologists to express their needs, wants, and opinions so that the profession can consistently move forward.  LAASP also works closely with the United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) and the School Psychologist Standing Committee of UTLA in order to help facilitate change and advocate for the needs of school psychologists within the Los Angeles Unified School District.
